Test framework for SAP Exchange Infrastructure

Exchange Infrastructure (XI) is a part of the Netweaver platform. This platform offers the basis for Service Oriented Architecture and includes all means to shape the integration of people, information, processes and applications. SAP XI represents the technical heart that enables process and application integration.
The use of the Netweaver platform is no common practice yet. It is however clear that it is impossible to imagine future daily SAP use without SAP Netweaver - and thus XI. Further definite shaping of SOA concepts and actual application of Services will only intensify this. The use of the XI infrastructure will play a central role.

Experience teaches us that, at this very moment, there is an urgent need for the testing of established middleware infrastructures. Nowadays, clients lack a coherent framework that offers structure verification and validation of integration linkages. The steering information that is highly necessary in order to get insight in related risks, costs and investments is not or not adequately available.
Uphantis is launching the development of such a framework using a test frame for SAP XI. We are putting together a Netweaver application in which SAP Exchange Infrastructure, Enterprise Portal, SAP Solution Manager and 3rd party services will be integrated and combined with a methodical testing approach. The to be offered solution will offer clients as well as colleague competitors the possibility to demonstrate the correctness, reliability and added value of their SAP Exchange Infrastructure in a quick, accurate and complete way.
