SAP Implementations

Implementation implies change. In order to realise an optimal conversion of the business processes from a heterogeneous to a standard environment, the impact and options should be set out clearly and decisively. This is an important part of the implementation. For you, as a client, it needs to be completely clear what the consequences are of a proposed solution, how and when the implementation can take place and what the consequences thereof are for costs, lead times and the go-live of the system.

Our extensive experience in the field of architectural design, business modelling and system integration enables us to carry out implementations (large or small) controllably and decisively, using a Fit-to-Measure approach that is the result of a combination of various Best Practices.

In order to achieve the above, we have standardised our way of working into a methodology that concentrates on ERP implementation. This methodology is designed to produce (partial) implementation projects at our clients in a controlled and transferable way, implementation meaning the complete introduction process from initiation to exploitation and the transfer to management. The methodology is a dynamic design that safeguards a cost-conscious execution, control and transfer of any implementation aspect. Project-specific customer requirements and demands can easily be made visible or incorporated into the design.

The way of working is completely attuned to the method and phase planning desired by the customer, owing to the fact that ASAP and PRINCE 2 form an integrated part of this method.

With reference to the implementation process, we focus on demonstrable added value for our customers. Our standard takes into account that it should be possible for different parties to manage projects at the same time.

All project activities are supported and checked by an ERP-specific quality system that monitors, safeguards and improves the applied standard. We recommend using SAP Solution Manager to support the implementation process.

We also recommend the use of SAP Best Practices for projects, as it can be used in various ways:

  • to quickly install a prototype version that allows users to see what the applications and procedures will look like in SAP
  • as a reference system to simplify the production of blueprints and to define the solution scope
  • as a basic principle of the implementation: 30 – 70% of all business needs are covered and the remaining percentage can be added in a flexible way throughout the course of the project
  • to speed up the implementation of SAP at subsidiaries in different regions or lines of businesses.
